I started my journey into building automation by completing my electrical apprenticeship in 2002. During my apprenticeship, I was heavily exposed to the industrial side of the automation industry working primarily with conveyors and robotic cranes. At the completion of my apprenticeship in 2002, I went on to complete a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) course that gave me further exposure to the automation industry. While completing this course I gained employment at Siemens in 2004 working as a service technician. At Siemens, I continued to learn about control strategies while also adding a significant understanding of HVAC operation and energy management\sustainability. During my time at Siemens, I worked between the service and project arms of the business which gave me a well-rounded understanding of what is required to deliver and maintain a highly efficient building. While at Siemens I had exposure to large scale automation installations that included commercial buildings, hospitals, universities and data centres. During this time, I experienced both the positive and negative sides of being employed by a multinational company. In 2008 I decided to start Encoso Pty Ltd.

 

Since its inception, Encoso has had a strong focus on end user satisfaction. We believe that in order to get the best out of your building all of the associated parties need to understand the building intimately and work as a team to maintain it. It is for these reasons that we have decided to remain a boutique operation and choose to work with likeminded customers and contractors.
